A place of getaway for members and their families Providing members with wellness, welfare and professional development opportunities. The NSW SESVA is a not for profit association here to provide member support & advocacy services to the thousands of NSW SES Volunteers throughout NSW. One of the member support services we offer to our members is access to our rural retreat located at Windellama NSW. As first responders, we are often exposed to situations and that are often distressing and dangerous and these situations often affect us deeply. Our VA retreat has been established to provide a place of solace and recreation for our members to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle and the stresses of being a first responder and relax and unwind. Enjoy your time exploring the property and then unwind at night around the campfire and enjoy the ambiance of the countryside. The VA retreat is situated on a 100 acre rural property, surrounded by beautiful native trees & plants, a number of dams throughout and you will often see a variety of animals on your visit such as wombats, wallabies, eastern grey roos, echidnas, goannas, along with a beautiful array of bird life, including black, red tailed and gang gang cockatoos. The retreat is open to all serving members of the NSW State Emergency Service and their families.. Members can utilize the property for private camping, day-trips and large group gatherings. We have a number of facilities here to make your stay as pleasant as possible and offer the whole camping experience - camping equipment such as swags, tents, BBQ, shower & toilet facilities are all provided for you..
